This Peanut Butter cake is SO veryyy peanut buttery like stick to yo’ mouth, need a glass of milk or almond milk 😉 moist and soft!
ok peeps, less than 10 ingredients to make this delicious-ness… 9 ingredients to be exact!
it literally takes about 5 minutes to throw together in a bowl and mix and pop in the oven!
now I put a PB “frosting” on this cake but feel free to switch it up if you like chocolate or even better both on top this cake…
this thang was a total LOVE at my house Nick was like in a PB land of good-ness… and let me tell ya he’s not that easy to please with food, it’s gotta taste really good, not “funky” tasting like ummm not sure if thats good or not … it’s got to be like YUM! 😉 if that makes sense???…
and to tell ya the truth sometimes my “test” recipes are ummm funky tasting some turn great but others not very good…not better work than Funky!
BUT this is not one of the funky ones (big smile) it’s one of the YUMMM gimme more… “ahhh I didn’t eat the whole cake it was already 3/4 gone” one of those kind of cakes!
on a “healthy” level… it’s kind healthy, I mean the only thing in it that’s not healthy is the sugar, I’m sure some of the sugar could be cut out but I don’t like things bland… love my sweets 😉
this cake is great for packing in a lunch or on the go it’s very portable.
If you love peanut butter I strongly encourage you to try this recipe… it will knock your socks of!

- 1⅓ cups GF all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar (vegan cane sugar is necessary)
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅓ cup water
- ¼ cup unsweetened natural applesauce
- 2 TBSP plain natural Peanut Butter (melted)
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 3-4 tbsp melted PB
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- pre-heat the oven at 350
- in a large mixing bowl add your flour, sugar, salt and stir
- next add your water, apple sauce, melted PB and vanilla and mix well
- spray a 8X8 pan with non stick cooking spray and pour mixture in and pop in oven for 24-26 minutes
- let cool for at least 15 minutes
- microwave the pb in a small bowl
- mix in maple syrup
- frost the cake and ENJOY!
